Volunteer Opportunities for Upcoming Projects – Your Help is Needed!

Volunteer Opportunities for Upcoming Projects – Your Help is Needed!

Dear Members,

I hope this message finds you well. As we look forward to 2025, there are several key projects that require the support and expertise of our members. If you have a little extra time to give, we would be grateful for your help, and work coupons will be provided for your time. Below are the volunteer opportunities available:

  1. Facebook Page Management
We are seeking a volunteer to take over our Facebook page and ensure it remains professionally run and up-to-date with current information, photos, and additions to the Boost page when needed. Donna is available for a meeting after 3 PM (Monday–Friday) and weekends, and can meet in a public space or at LCCL. Your support in maintaining an active and engaging online presence is essential.
  2. Historical Archivist Project
We need a dedicated individual or small team to assist with an important historical project. This involves organizing papers, photos, and clippings, and digitizing them onto a hard drive. There may also be an opportunity to create videos of the items. This will be a time-consuming but rewarding project, and work coupons will be provided for your contributions.
  3. Fair Booth Archery Trailer Support
Donna requires a backup person to assist with the archery trailer system. This includes ensuring the trailer is stocked with necessary equipment, water, and supplies, as well as managing communications and emails when Donna becomes busy with event planning. Assistance will begin in March when preparations for the fair begin, and your help will be invaluable.
  4. Computer & Tech Assistance
If you have technical expertise, Donna needs assistance with computer equipment, tablet, and printer. This may require just an hour or so of your time to troubleshoot and ensure everything is in good working order for the 2025 year. Work coupons will be provided in appreciation for your time. Her Husband and Son have said NO but will be backup to questions as needed from me.
  5. Media Outreach & Communication
We are seeking someone to help get our information out to local radio stations, as well as submit news and updates to local publications like the Lenawee Voice and other community outlets. This ongoing project will ensure that our initiatives and events reach a wider audience. Your help will make a significant difference.

If you are interested in volunteering for any of these projects, please Contact Us

We are looking forward to a successful 2025 and beyond, but we need your help to make that happen. Even a small amount of time and effort from each of us can have a significant impact on our members and community and the success of these projects.

Thank you for your time and consideration.I truly appreciate your support!

Best regards,
Donna Vandenberg

Archery Building Closed 12/26 – 12/28 for Backstop Work

Archery Building Closed 12/26 – 12/28 for Backstop Work

The archery building will be closed for use from Dec 26th – Dec 28th 2024.

We need 3-5 people to help with the materials we purchased to help with the archery backstop construction. We have the staples and a pneumatic stapler with a air compressor. If someone has a pneumatic stapler we have a extra compressor available that could help with this project. Bring pliers, with this job we’ll be pulling out a lot of material.

The person spearheading this project is available Dec 26-28, 9-5.  Lunch will be provided and you’ll get work coupons for this project and a sincere thanks so much for your help. These backstops have deteriorated so badly this has to be done before indoor archery begins.

Contact Us (Donna or Tim) to help. Please put the text “Archery Backstops” in the subject.

We need:

  • 3-5 ppl
  • pliers, gloves if your hands require protection
  • pneumatic stapler
  • your time
